“There was something very special about this ride! The yoga was ‘light,’ but we felt relaxed and aware for the rest of the day!

One of us is an experienced rider and the other a beginner, but this ride still worked for both of us. We were encouraged to center and to focus inward on our own awareness and then also on the horse's. So each of us had a distinct experience at his or her own level.

We quickly learned an entirely new way of riding, a new way to focus while on horseback. We also absorbed the notions of "trust and connection" with the horse (rather than "mastery and control”). We hope to do it again one day!”

The Lokahi (Harmony) Ride

Experience lokahi (harmony) on a pristine private ranch! Our Yoga Instructor will be your guide on this unique private ride, designed to enhance the rider-horse connection. Using breath and balance will foster awareness and increase confidence—for both you and your horse. You will also enjoy quiet time at a peaceful location, tucked away deep into the Ranch. This secluded area offers stunning views of interior valleys and mountains.

The Lokahi Ride begins with centering and stretching, followed by more stretching together with your horse. As you ride across our working cattle ranch for an hour, your guide will share breathing, communication and alignment techniques, deepening the rider-horse bond. Then we’ll stop at our special hidden location for 30 minutes of standing yoga poses and meditation (according to your interest), plus a healthy snack.

After soaking up the sweeping scenery, you’ll mount up to ride back across the ranch for an hour. As this unique experience draws to a close, there will be ample time for reflection. You’ll recognize the lokahi gained on this unique private ride!

$245 per person + tax

GUIDES AND TACK:

All rides are led by trained professional guides certified in First Aid and CPR and equipped with two-way radios and first aid kits. We provide western saddles only. Helmets are available upon request and are required for children ages 8-12.  

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:

  • Completely covered shoes that can get muddy (sneakers or hiking shoes). No Crocs or aqua shoes. Rental shoes available (all-terrain @ $5.00 per pair).
  • Long pants recommended

AGE/WEIGHT/PHYSICAL CONDITION:

Ages 8 & older in good physical condition. Maximum weight 250 pounds. Maximum height 6’5”. Height-to-weight ratios apply. Please call for details.

CHILDREN ON TOUR:

Children age 16 & 17 may tour without an adult. A parent must sign a liability waiver at check-in.
Children age 8 to 15 must be accompanied on tour by an adult who is at least 18 years old.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES:

48-hour notice of cancellation for groups of 5 or less.
72-hour notice of cancellation for groups of 6 or more.
Cancellation/changes or no-shows that fall outside of these policies will the charged the FULL AMOUNT of the tour.

WEATHER:

Tours go out rain or shine. In the event we determine weather is hazardous, we may cancel the tour and guests may be rescheduled.
